Photobucket
This photograph was taken before summer when dreaming of the potential stretching endlessly before me filled my days; the olympus trip, a 19th birthday present to myself, was loaded with film eagerly waiting to take wonderfully 70's grainy photographs whilst the rusty orange sun dress was prepared to provide coverage against the fierce heat that summer promised to bring. Magazines previously untouched and abandoned in the name of exam revision were ready to joyously open and slowly ingested, the type writer was ready to capture anecdotes of summer and the small wicker bag was there loyally waiting to hold the bare necessities needed on summer days. As much as summer will be missed by so many (if we British citizens can actually deem the months june to august 'summer', chuckle, chuckle), the transition from summer to autumn is my favourite period of the year. Watching the leaves turn, from brilliant green to the complete tonal variations of yellow -orange, red-orange, brown-orange and to the final stage of pure brown before ultimately dropping to the ground ready to be kicked and crunched by countless feet, is a satisfyingly simple experience. Autumn is full of profound experiences, such as the return to school for many, and so let September roll forward immersing us in all its autumnal goodness.

Beautiful! Do you actually use the typewriter? Does it change the way you write? I'd love to try it.

Autumn is my favourite time of the year too!! I love it when you feel that a whole new year is about to start again after the break that was summer, you get to catch up with your friends, see the new projects of the year taking shape, etc. And I saw that you were about to start art classes.. me too! Well well.. too many similarities not to follow each other, I would say! Let me know.
